The last series of 2nd round matches took place yesterday in the women's U20 European Championships, with France and Spain heading the list of teams who will play in the quarter-finals on Friday. They will be joined by Holland, Portugal, Italy, Russia, Slovenia and Poland. Results and quarter-final pairings are as follows.
Group E

Key Stat: Poland converted 10/22 triple attempts whilst Latvia could only sink 1/12.
MVP: Veronika Remenarova (Slo) 16 pts, 9 rebounds, 3 blocks
Key Stat: Slovakia converted 21/23 free-throws.
MVP: Marine Johannes (Fra) 17 pts, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals
Key Stat: The French shot the ball very accurately (46.6%) and made 14 steals to help them to 16 fast-break points.

MVP: Cecilia Zandalasini (Ita) 16 pts, 12 rebounds, 3 assists
Key Stat: Nothing in this one with a buzzer-beating put-back by Elisa Penna taking it for Italy. They led 2-pt shooting percentages 38.8% to 27.6%.
MVP: Emese Hof (Hol) 14 pts, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals
Key Stat: The Dutch shot an impressive 45.3% from the field and led 46 to 29 in rebounds.
MVP: Belen Arrojo (Spa) 6 pts, 8 rebounds, 4 assists
Key Stat: Spain dominated the boards, taking 50 rebounds to Portugal's 29.
Group G (Classification)
MVP: Dragana Stankovic (Ser) 16 pts, 12 rebounds
Key Stat: Serbia made 6/13 3-pt shots and also converted 11/12 free-throws.
MVP: Tetiana Antoniuk (Ukr) 10 pts, 19 rebounds, 4 assists
Key Stat: Ukraine committed 28 turnovers allowing the Czechs to score 24 fast-break points.
