Matches continued in Lanzarote with Spain and France still unbeatable, Russia surviving a late comeback from Slovakia and Germany eliminated after a defeat by Latvia.

 

Group E

 

  • Russia 67 60 Slovakia

 

MVP: Radka Stasová (Slo) 27 pts, 4 rebounds

Key Stat: The Russians were too big and strong for Slovakia inside and took 51 boards to Slovakia's 34.

 

  • Poland 47 69 France

 

MVP: Lysa Millavet (Fra) 15 pts, 2 rebounds

Key Stat: France dominated in the paint with 55 rebounds to Poland's 26.

 

  • Latvia 62 55 Germany

 

MVP: Digna Strautmane (Lat) 21 pts, 12 rebounds

Key Stat: Germany only made 18 of 70 shots with a percentage of 25.7%.

Key Stat: Spain led steals 11-2.

Key Stat: Belgium outshot Hungary 43.1% to 32.8%.

 

Group G (Classification)

 

  • Ukraine 45 62 Turkey

 

MVP: Büsra Akbas (Tur) 14 pts, 2 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals

Key Stat: Ukraine only managed 17 pts in the 2nd half after leading 28-23 at the break.

 

  • Czech Republic 82 86 Serbia

 

MVP: Aleksandra Crvendakic (Ser) 32 pts (tournament high!), 10 rebounds, 5 steals, 2 assists

Key Stat: A close one but Serbia shot the ball more accurately with 55.1% success from 2-pt range.
